Coronavirus (COVID-19) Update

Message from HE Luding Khen Rinpoche

2020-Bodhgaya

HE Luding Khen Rinpoche

"A lot has been published in the media about the causes of the COVID-19 virus and the best ways to take care of yourself, hence I don’t think it’s necessary to repeat those things to you.

I request for everyone who is able to do so, to recite prayers of purification and pacification as best as you can. I also request for you to wish for the swift return of normality from this current difficult situation.

I wish for everyone to return to a happier situation and better time globally without delay."

Ngor Monastery's Activities

On 21 March 2020, HE Luding Khen Chen Rinpoche, Luding Khen Rinpoche and the Luding Sangha arrived safely in Manduwala after their holy visit to Bodhgaya.

Promptly upon arrival, a meeting was held among leaders and administrators of Ngor Monastery to discuss precautionary measures against the ongoing pandemic and also implementing and adhering to the requirements and recommendations made by the Government of India.

Along with enforcing strict discipline and spreading awareness of the virus, blessed nectar pills and blessed string ties were distributed to all the monks, monastery staff and the neighbouring Tibetan Lingtsang colony.

From 27 March 2020, Luding Khen Rinpoche will perform the ritual of  Goddess Parna Shawari འཕགས་མ་ལོ་མ་གྱོན་མ། indefinitely, in the hope of curtailing the effects of the virus and eliminating all the sufferings brought by it.

May the blessings of the Tathagatha Buddhas and all the enlightened ones be upon every sentient being, especially those suffering the most.
