His Eminence Luding Khen Chen Rinpoche’s Birthday, November 2019

His Eminence Luding Khen Chen Rinpoche (Khen Chen Rinpoche) turned 89 on 11 November 2019, which was a very auspicious date, not only because it was Khen Chen Rinpoche’s birthday, but also because it was the anniversary of the Great Bari Lotsawa, Khon Konchok Gyalpo, Sachen Kunga Nyingpo and Gonpo Sonam Chokden.

To ensure Khen Chen Rinpoche continues to live a long and healthy life, an elaborate White Tara Long Life Puja was conducted for seven days at Ngor Monastery, Manduwala Uttarakhand India. The Long Life Puja was presided over by His Holiness the 41st Sakya Trizin and His Holiness the 42nd Sakya Trizin. Also in attendance were His Eminence Dungsay Avikitra Vajra, His Eminence Dungsay Asangha, His Eminence Luding Khenpo, His Eminence Thartse Khenpo, His Eminence Khangsar Shabdrung, His Eminence the 26th Chogye Tripa, as well as Shabdrungs, Khenpos, Tulkus and a great congregation of monastic and lay community.

Many grand offerings were made by His Holiness the Sakya Trizin and the Royal Family, as well as esteemed Rinpoches and Khenpos, to Khen Chen Rinpoche, which were dedicated to Khen Chen Rinpoche’s long and healthy life.

We wish Khen Chen Rinpoche a very happy birthday and long life with excellent health and pray that he continues to turn the wheel of dharma for the sake of all living beings.
