Sacred statue of the Tathagata

His Eminence Luding Khen Rinpoche and Ngor Pal E-wam Choden monastery recently sponsored the construction of a sacred statue of Tathagata Buddha Shakyamuni in Gandhi Park, Central Dehradun, India.

The statue's purpose is to bring peace and harmony throughout the world.

The statue was constructed in sandstone from Varanasi to mark its sacredness and auspiciousness and its construction was completed on 27 December 2024.

HE Luding Khen Rinpoche and the monastery's sangha pray that this project brings about peace and harmony for all sentient beings.

May all beings receive the blessings of the Enlightened One.
