Sakya Lineage Help Combat COVID-19
Honourable Trivendra Singha Rawat meeting HH Ratna Vajra Sakya, HH Gyana Vajra Sakya and esteemed monks of Dolma Phodrang
On 5 April 2020, on behalf of the Sakya Lineage Gurus, the Great Sakya Monlam Foundation and esteemed monasteries and nunneries of the Sakya Lineage, including Ngor Pal Evam Chodan (Ngor Monastery), His Holiness the 42nd Sakya Trizin Ratna Varja Rinpoche, His Holiness Gyana Vajra Rinpoche and esteemed monks of Dolma Phodrang collectively donated 23 Lakh (approx. USD $30,000) to the Government of Uttarakhand to help fight the Coronavirus (COVID-19).
HH Ratna Vajra Sakya and HH Gyana Vajra Sakya met the Honourable Trivendra Singh Rawat, Chief Minister of Uttarakhand, and thanked him for leading the State in its fight against COVID-19.
HH Ratna Vajra Sakya and HH Gyana Vajra Sakya also expressed their heartfelt gratitude to Uttarakhand's Government officials, police officers and medical workers who have been working tirelessly and selflessly to protect all inhabitants of Uttarakhand from the spread and effects of COVID-19.
